Clevinger managed three innings of work, but the parade of relievers that followed was a nightmare—Kim Jin-ho took the loss after recording just one batter, and the bullpen allowed eight runs over the final four innings. By the eighth and ninth, NC was throwing out relievers just to eat innings.

Offensive Highlights

Hong Chang-gi had himself a night at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a double and driving in a run. Song Chan-uui chipped in a hit and an RBI as well. But the real stars of the offensive show were Moon Jung-bin and Park Gun-woo, who both went yard.

Moon Jung-bin’s three-run blast in the ninth inning capped off what had already been a productive game for the youngster—he also delivered the go-ahead sacrifice fly in the fifth with the bases loaded. Park Gun-woo’s two-run homer in the fourth off Park Si-won briefly gave NC some life, but it wasn’t nearly enough to keep pace with what LG was doing offensively. Gu Bon-hyeok added another hit and RBI to round out a balanced attack for the Twins.

Key Play of the Game

Moon Jung-bin’s sacrifice fly in the fifth inning, with the bases loaded and one out, essentially broke the game open. The Twins had manufactured runners through a combination of walks and errors, and when Moon lifted one to center field, the runner from third scored easily. That single play put LG ahead and set the tone for everything that followed. The Dinos never answered back, and from that point forward it was all Twins baseball.

Standings Impact

With this win, the LG Twins improved to 72–55 and remain entrenched in third place in the KBO standings. It was a comfortable victory that should do wonders for team confidence heading into the final stretch of the season. The NC Dinos, meanwhile, fell to 59–63 and stayed in sixth place, their postseason hopes growing dimmer by the week. This loss stung because they had a chance to stay competitive and instead got blown out on the road.
